The Leaders Sport Business Summit
Nolan Partners is proud to be a Category Partner of the Leaders Sport Business Summit, held annually at Chelsea FC, which brings together the most influential decision makers in the business of sport for two days of learning, sharing and networking. From 2016, our tenth anniversary year, we have extended that partnership to The Leaders Sport Business Summit in New York, which in March 2016 brought together over 700 delegates from more than 25 countries and over 30 sports.
The Leaders Sport Performance Summit
Nolan Partners has a successful and growing performance practice helping clients acquire specialist technical/performance talent and to reflect that success Nolan Partners one of the Lead Partners of the Leaders Sport Performance Summit. The Summit takes place annually in London, New York and Los Angeles, the three cities where Nolan Partners has offices and each event attracts top global experts in the areas of human performance; talent ID; recruitment and analytics and coaching and development.
Leaders Under 40 Awards
Paul Nolan, Nolan Partners’ Group Managing Director, sits on the Advisory Panel for the Leaders Under 40 Awards, annual awards which celebrate the next generation of leaders in sport, across the globe.
The Sport Industry Awards
The Sport Industry Awards is Europe’s largest and most prestigious commercial sport awards. The Awards recognise and reward the best the sport business has to offer in marketing, PR, sponsorship, new media, publishing, advertising and design.
Since 2009 Nolan Partners are proud to have supported the events as sponsors of categories such as Best Governing Body in Sport and Best Sponsorship Campaign and in 2015 and 2016, sponsored the Leadership in Sport Award, which was won last year by David Grevemberg CBE, Chief Executive Officer of The Commonwealth Games Federation and this year by The Football Association’s Director of Partnership and Development, Kelly Simmons.
Women in Racing
Since 2013 Nolan Partners has been a Partner of Women in Racing, an organisation which develops the profile of women in the sport of horseracing, encourages senior appointments across the industry and enhances horseracing as an attractive sector in which to build a career. Nolan Partners has enjoyed a strong association with horseracing during its 10 years in business and is delighted to support such a worthwhile organisation.
The highlight of the Women in Racing calendar is the Grand Women’s Summit, held annually at the Crabbie’s Grand National Festival at Aintree Racecourse. This year’s panel included Judy Murray; Rugby World Cup winner Maggie Alphonsi MBE; Shelley Alexander, BBC editorial lead for women’s sport and Nick Rust, Chief Executive of the British Horseracing Authority. Hosted by Channel 4 Racing’s Tanya Stevenson, 125 delegates heard the speakers’ experiences and views on gender diversity in sport.
Between 2008 and 2014, Nolan Partners was the Official Executive Search and Selection Partner of the Sport Industry Group.
As part of the partnership, we were involved with the flagship events that come under the Sport Industry Group banner – The Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast, The Sport Industry Interview and the Annual Sport Industry Awards.
The Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club, comprised four enormously successful events each year, bringing together some of the biggest names in the sector.
Speakers included Brian Barwick, Chairman of the Rugby Football League and former CEO of The Football Association; David Grevemberg, CEO of Glasgow 2014; Debbie Jevans, CEO of England Rugby 2015 and former Director of Sport for London 2012; Ed Warner, Chairman of UK Athletics; David Collier, Chief Executive of the ECB; Mike Gatting, President of the MCC; Ian Ayre, Managing Director of Liverpool FC; Mark Wilf, Owner and President of Minnesota Vikings; Barney Francis, MD of Sky Sports; Adam Silver; Deputy Commissioner and CEO of the NBA; Ivan Gazidis, CEO of Arsenal Football Club; Richard Scudamore, Chief Executive Officer of the Premier League; Mark Cavendish, 2011 Road World Champion and 2011 Sport Personality of the Year and Barbara Slater, BBC’s Director of Sport and Ian Ritchie, Chief Executive Officer of the RFU.
Nolan Partners has also supported a number of other organisations including the Racehorse Owners Association (ROA) Annual Dinner and the League Managers Association (LMA) amongst others.
